Located on the Cheshire - Shropshire border, the Willeymoor is an unashamedly traditional country pub.
Formerly a Lock Keepers cottage, converted into a licensed cafe in the 60's, then transformed into a pub in 1978 by the Gilkes family, who still run the pub.
The Willeymoor is well known for its waterside location on the Llangollen canal, a perfect setting to gongoozle.
Outside there is a canal side terrace, lock side seating & a large beer garden with a children’s play area.
Children, walkers & well behaved dogs are most welcome in all areas of the pub.

BAR & KITCHEN
We have an array of classic pub dishes complimented by a selection of real ales.
Over the past five decades the Willeymoor has fostered a reputation for its variety of cask ales.
We have a constantly changing line up of beers from local breweries such as Salopian, Stonehouse, Weetwood, Lymestone & Spitting Feathers, beers from Greene King also feature regularly.
Our draught products include Peroni, Carling, San Miguel, Level Head IPA, Hazy Days IPA, Aspall Cyder, Henry Westons Vintage & Belhaven Black Stout.
Our fully stocked bar has all the usual spirits including over 20 Whiskies, a variety of Gin's, along with Wines, soft drinks & hot beverages.
In our chiller there are bottled ciders, beers, non & low alcohol options.
Our food menu is unashamedly retro, here you will find pub classics like Home-made Steak Pie, Cod & Chips, Steaks, children's menu, snacks & sandwiches.
Informal & unpretentious we offer a relaxed & friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy, be it a quick pint, lunchtime snack, pit-stop from a hard day cruising or a special occasion.
All food is freshly cooked to order using ingredients from local suppliers, we aim to cater for all, please let a member of our team know if you have a special dietary requirement or allergy.
OUR LOCATION
There is NO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY to the canal towpath at this location, access & parking are for customers of the Willeymoor Lock Tavern only.
The footbridge is strictly pedestrian, access is required 24/7, we respectfully request that you do not block or spectate from the bridge.
WALKING
If you would like to combine a walk in the area with a visit to the pub please call

pre-book & arrange out of hours parking.
We politely request that customers intending to leave a vehicle at any time inform one of our team first.
Non customers will be charged a daily fee of £10 per car (this provides up to 12 hours parking from 11am - 11pm)
OVERNIGHT STOPOVERS
Over night motorhome & camper van stopovers are available - ADVANCED BOOKING REQUIRED
If you own a fully contained motorhome or camper van & are looking for a night away, we have a large secure flat carpark, where we warmly welcome overnight stop-overs, we are dog friendly too.
It is free to stay as long as you eat & drink with us during your visit.
MOORINGS
There are moorings adjacent to the pub which are 14 day unrestricted moorings
WATER SPORTS
Please be aware that we do not permit the launching of any water-craft
(Boats, paddle-boards, Kayaks, canoes)
