The Willeymoor Lock Tavern is a privately owned and family run freehouse located besides the Llangollen canal near Whitchurch. Formally a Lock Keepers cottage ... the Willeymoor is well known for its waterside location ... a perfect setting to watch the passing boats.
A quick pint, pit-stop from a hard days cruising or a special occasion, informal and unpretentious, we offer a down to earth atmosphere for all to enjoy, whether its a relaxed meal or pint with family and friends
Popular with locals, walkers, boaters and holidaymakers alike, we have an array of traditional pub food, complemented by a varied selection of hand-pull cask ales, beers, spirits, global wines, hot beverages and soft drinks.
There is a children’s play area, seating beside the canal and large beer garden, ideal locations for outdoor dining

Sorry Customer Parking Only .... parking is a contentious issue here at The Willeymoor Lock Tavern. Please note the drive, carpark and bridge are private and for customer use only whilst visiting the pub.  There is no public right of way and no public access to the canal towpath or Sandstone trail here at the Willeymoor. If you would like to combine a walk in the area with a visit to the pub, please pre-book on 01948 663274, alternatively we are happy to advise on public parking for those not wishing to use the pub

DOGS WELCOME ..... we are Dog friendly. Well behaved dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub. It is considered polite to keep your dog under control and close to you at all times. Inside the pub dogs must be kept on leads and preferably off the furniture. Please be aware that we do not have any facilities close by for the disposal of dog waste, it is not cost effective for the Canal trust or Council to provide them along this section of the canal ... please dispose responsibly
